A SHORT INTERVIEW WITH KRISHNASANKAR ACHARJEE OF INDIA

Here is a short interview with one of the top five winners of our first ever monthly contest, Krishnasankar Acharjee is a member poet from India.


1. Q- Can you tell us about you in words?

I am really enjoy and say to you i am Krishnasankar Acharjee(Researcher) in English literature. I stay in calcutta in India my motherland i love. My hobby is singing song and sometimes paint."

2. Q- How do you feel to be a winner of our first monthly contest on peacefull coexistence?

"I personally feel this very rejoiceable moment when i see my name in that position and I want to work peacefully coexistence with our loving sir Balogun."

3. Q- What does "peace" means to you?

Peace means accepting the diversity and looking for equality among it. It is built daily by every common action you make to ensure the respect of the different. It is a constant decision you have to make. Peace means freedom and well being. Peace means guarantee other one's freedom and well being.

4. Q- How do you think literature can promote world peace?

In a world desperately longing to eradicate despotism and violence, the power of the written word is prominent and palpable in the 2016 IFLAC anthology “Anti-Terror and Peace.”
Responding to increasing turmoil in the world, Professor Ada Aharoni founded IFLAC, the International Forum for the Literature and Culture of Peace, in 1999 as a way to bridge the gap between cultures and promote peace and understanding through writing and art."

5. Q- A quote for younger aspiring poets?

" Not a wasted word. This has been a main point to my literary thinking all my life.”

6. Q- What do you think the next generation should know to help them become icons of peace wherever their find themselves?

"It is impossible to predict what people need in the future (because the future is increasingly more unpredictable due to its complexity). We also can’t train students in every area needed in the future even if we know what discipline is needed. How would we prepare children for a seemingly unknown future?
Instead of telling them what to know as current schooling system to, the only way is to help students learn by themselves, so that they can keep learning to adapt to new environment."

7. Q- How do you think peace can be achieved in today's world?

 "Here is how we achieve world peace, if every citizen takes these actions one by one, step by step. Respect the environment and see earth as your only true home. ... Learn to forgive because you deserve unconditional inner peace. Technology is good as long as it's only bringing goodness into your life and others."
